3.General Description-

The Disaster Management Section has 3 tier at District level,Sub-Divisional level & Block level respectively. At the District DDMO functions under the control of the DM,at Sub-Division SDDMO functions under the control of the SDO & at Block level BDMO functions under the control of BDO.The Secretary ,Disaster Management Deptt.is the State Relief Commissioner. There are advisory committee at different levels namely District Disaster Management Committee under the Chairmanship of Sabhadhipati Zilla Parishad.At the Sub-Divisional level SDO is the Chairperson of Sub-Divisional Disaster Management Committee & Savapati ,P.S is the Chairperson of Block Disaster Management Committee. All these committees are empowered for formulation general principals ,policies ,plans in execution of relief activities and Disaster Management.

 

4.Work Description-In normal period the Department functions are -

  • To impart training of the community.
  • To prepare management plan.
  • To provide NGR/Spl.G.R to the indigent people.
  • To provide E.R.Grant,H.B.Grant,Death Ex-gratia & other relief assistance.

 

5.Different Forms-

  • Form A For Calamity Report.
  • Form-B- For H.B.Grant.
  • Form C- Inspection Report by Jt.inspection team.
  • Form D- Ex-gratia grant
  • Form E- List of Beneficiary for relief assistance.
  • Form F- Musterroll for relief assistance.
